About Whittney

Whittney Sioux is a clinical herbalist with over 15 years of dedicated study in herbalism and nearly a decade of professional practice. Her roots in natural medicine began in childhood on her family’s rural land, where she developed an early fascination with plants and the natural world. This curiosity grew into a deep academic interest in the life sciences; Whittney later became a microbiology tutor for pre-nursing students, further strengthening her understanding of human physiology, microbes, and their interactions with herbal therapeutics.

Whittney’s training includes extensive study with respected herbalists and institutions such as Sajah Popham of Evolutionary Herbalism, Blue Wind Botanical School, Matthew Wood, Herbal Medics, and Trinity School of Natural Health. She holds certificates as a Master Herbalist, Advanced Clinical Herbalist, Pediatric Herbalist, and in the Female Reproductive System, covering pregnancy, delivery, postpartum, breast health, and lactation.

She is a dedicated researcher and lifelong learner, continually expanding her knowledge through ongoing coursework, review of scientific literature, and a well-curated personal library of herbal and health texts that she references regularly.

Beyond formal education, Whittney has sought global perspectives on herbalism, traveling internationally to study native plants, traditional healing systems, and sustainable agriculture. Her herbal training has included immersive studies in Puerto Rico, Denmark, Sweden, France, and Spain, and she is scheduled for a month-long herbal mentorship in South Korea in Spring 2026. These experiences enrich her clinical approach with a broad, culturally informed understanding of plants and their medicinal uses.

Whittney’s love and respect for the natural world are also deeply rooted in her Native American heritage as a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, and also the love of plants she witnessed from her elders.

Today, She works one-on-one with clients as a clinical herbalist, offering plant-based support. She works with all age groups and health issues but also specializes in working with individuals navigating postnatal motherhood and lactation, children and babies into the mature ages—guiding them with thoughtful, holistic approaches.

In addition to her clinical practice, she leads classes and workshops that blend ancestral knowledge with modern research, empowering others to connect with nature. Whittney believes in the power of plants to heal, nourish, and guide us back to a simpler, more sustainable way of living.
